We found Duda right outside our animal sanctuary, living alone on the street. She was just a young puppy at the time, about four months old, and already struggling to survive. Like so many strays in our area, Duda had no one to care for her and was in desperate need of help.
She was malnourished, dehydrated, and her skin was in terrible condition. Red, itchy patches covered her small body, with painful pustules that were seeping blood and discharge. She couldn’t stop scratching, her body was in constant agony, and it was heartbreaking to witness.
A skin scraping test confirmed she had demodex mange, a painful skin condition caused by mites. It’s treatable, but only with proper care,
something Duda had never known. She needed frequent medicated baths, consistent treatment, and the right nutrition to help her body heal and grow strong.
Today, Duda is a happy, thriving, and absolutely adorable dog. Her skin has cleared up, her eyes shine with life, and her playful spirit has returned. She’s best friends with another one of our rescues, Manu, and the two are rarely apart, always playing, snuggling, or enjoying their safe sanctuary life together.
