We first met Tereza as a stray near our sanctuary. We made sure she received vaccines to help keep her safe while she roamed.
Then in June 2023, a neighbor sent us a video, Tereza was mating with several dogs on the street. We knew we had to step in before her life became even more difficult.
We brought her to the vet intending to spay her immediately, but during her checkup, we got unexpected news: Tereza tested positive for Lyme disease. She needed treatment and recovery before it would be safe to operate.
So instead of a quick visit to the vet, Tereza came home with us.
Today, she’s a cherished member of our sanctuary. She’s healthy, protected, and no longer has to survive on scraps or face the dangers of the streets. Her days are now filled with safety, warmth, and the kindness she always deserved.
