Sky was rescued from a restaurant on the side of a busy road, barely hanging on, with her litter beside her. She was the tiniest of them all and in heartbreaking condition—suffering from severe rhinotracheitis, dangerously anemic, and already blind in one eye due to the infection. We weren’t sure she would make it.
But Sky had other plans.
After months of hospitalization, she slowly regained her strength. She fought through every obstacle with quiet determination, and once she was stable enough, she finally underwent surgery to remove her damaged eye and was spayed at the same time. The procedures went smoothly, though recovery wasn’t easy—she was scared, stressed, and had difficulty eating or drinking in the hospital. But with love and patience, she pulled through.
Today, Sky is fully healed and thriving among the rest of our rescued cats. She’s still shy, but she’s safe, loved, and discovering the comfort of companionship every day.
