Meet Thunder, our blind rescue horse. We rescued him from a heartbreaking situation where he spent his entire life confined to a stall, never able to experience the outside world. Thunder’s blindness was preventable—his previous owner ignored the ulcers in his eyes, and the lack of treatment tragically led to permanent blindness.
At our sanctuary, Thunder’s life has completely changed. He’s now a happy and healthy horse who enjoys the outdoors every single day. He has his own paddock where he can bask in the sunshine, feel the breeze, and live the life he always deserved. Thunder continues to receive regular checkups from his eye doctor to ensure he stays comfortable and healthy.
By sponsoring Thunder, you help us provide the ongoing care he needs. Any amount you choose to give would mean the world to Thunder and to all of us who work to give him the best life possible. Thank you for supporting his journey to happiness!

Thunder’s Eye Treatments:

We are just $435.25 away from our goal of $960, which will go towards two bills that we need to pay by the 17th of may for thunder’s hospitalization. Thank you for any amount you can offer to help sweet Thunder.

Now, we are trying medicated treatments to see if it will help Thunder regain even just a little bit of his sight. The total bill for 1 month of hospitalization is $960. Please help us to be able to help Thunder…he did not deserve to be so neglected. He’s such a great horse!!

Thunder’s blindness could have been easily prevented, but his previous owner didn’t bother to even have his ulcers checked out by a vet. His negligence will affect Thunder for the rest of his life.

We are $936.74 away from our goal of $960 to pay for two bills (please see on photos) we need to pay by the 24th of may.

Thunder’s eyes need to be medically treated, and the estimated bill is $960 for one month of hospitalization.

He is 99% blind, and we are hoping this will help him see, even if it’s just a little improvement.

Thunder had ulcers on both eyes in the past that were left untreated, which resulted him going blind. His owner used and abused him for the cruel sport vaquejada, and discarded Thunder when he was no longer able to see or make money for him.

He gave Thunder to us for free. Many times we have to purchase abused animals from their owners, in order to be able to remove them from danger. But Thunder was invisible to his owner… his owner didn’t care for him at all.
